MizzKazza's travels

Jungles, temples and local history

Sarawak, October 2016 Semenggoh, Annah Rais, Kayaking

Morning trip to Semenggoh orang utan sanctuary (where there are two babies, one just 10 days old). Then on to Annah Rais long house where we saw a cage full of two century old skulls in the head house and some fantastic paintings by Ernest Zacharavic, a Lithuanian version of Banksy (Banksy has left his own mark in Kuching – orangutans on the mosque-side wall of India Street), followed by a leisurely kayak down an 11km stretch of river.

My driver/guide for the day was James Chee. He is extremely companionable, very well read and full of interesting tales about local history.  Email: saratour68@yahoo.com  Tel: 0128860880
